The Gurus all tell me that only a constant on amp will work. I have not tried it.

I recorded some of the P25
it is well above the amount of time and level required to keep any of the SSB amps I have keyed up
unfortunately all my amps are 2M or lower, and all my digital radios are 440...
will report on the topic when I manage to get another amp that does 440

It has started picking up over here in Greece too, for the past 6 months.
Seems the D-Star crowd is moving over

A club has setup the first repeater hereand it will accept analog input and output also.
And they have high hopes of connecting it to their D-star & Fusion ones.
we are living in VERY interesting times

Well,,,,, Me and my local prepper ham friend are working on, (OK he's working on) a ZUM Spot with an MMDVM. Im still trying to learn it and under stand it. But it allows you to use all modes digital. one at a time of course. Were also putting together our own portable GO BOX repeater to do the same thing. I have D-star and now needing to get me a DMR next.

Looking at this one.

Also were looking into setting up an echo link on our club repeater.

I got me a Motorola XPR7550e, uhf. and having fun with it. DMR has caught up with D-star over here in West Texas.

OK I wanted to bring this topic back to life.  Is anybody using Dstar or DMR now on a regular basis?  I sure would like to see a prepared ham digital net sometime.

I have not even looked at DStar or DMR.

I need to get my radio turned on and get back into it again.

Real Estate has been sucking the life out of me.
The only dumb question is the one that did not get asked!!

Same here with work.  Been so tied up doing things that I haven’t even had time to think about prepping anymore.  As for my radios I’ve been able to take my digitals with me on the road and use my pi-star hotspot.

Just a bump, I now have an OpenSpot that allows me to use my DMR radios on any mode (P25, Nexedge, Fusion, DStar) but still stay on DMR. We need a nationwide talk group!
