Georgia Tornado Drill
« on: February 08, 2012, 08:31:09 AM »
For those of you in Georgia they currently have 30 repeaters in ALL counties hooked up for a tornado drill. The should be doing it, and taking check in for an hour or two. I wish i knew earlier.

www.gaares.org is a good site to sign up for to get on their mailing list.

The national weather service connected in as well. They are predicting a pretty bad tornado season here due to the weather.
The more I learn, the less I know.

Good information!  Storm spotting and weather watching are very important parts of the Ham hobby.  The NWS (National Weather Service) depends on hams for help all over the country whenever bad weather is around.
