Need a Ham that lives in Northern VA for info on usable (working) repeaters

My father is working to get his Tech and I am quite sure he will get it done.

I am looking for a reliable resource for working open repeaters that can be reached with a 2 watt dual band HT like the Baofeng UV3-R. I want him to be able to use the rubber ducky for the very local repeaters and a j-pole or maybe one day a decent dual band vertical that he can hook up the HT to until he gets used to using it.

If there is a reliable resource someone can point me to I would appreciate it. If you already have a list (including offsets, tones and oddities) please post here or send me a PM.

It has a download feature that i use with my RT Systems programming software and dumps the list into my FT-60R

A qucik check shows 64 of them total. Have not counted the 2M flavor.

Excellent resource!

I had no idea.
When I had my Yaesu FT8000 I was spoiled as all I had to to is press a button and it would look for all activity.  Usually it would only miss weird offsets of cross-tone oddities.

I can't wait to use this for me next time I am out of town.



BTW what repeaters do you use in PHX for low power HT use?

My #1 & 2 channels are the 147.240 and 146.920 which are Shaw Butte and Mtn Ord and are linked.

I can hit PLA on the Pinal Mtn 145.410 which is part of a great network for south east Az and New Mexico
