Passing the technician exam, this is the band you will be using mostly.. 2m.. Some areas like mine is very active.. Other area dead.. It's very localized...

Excellent intro video! suggestion: many of our trainees are very curious about range, so if you could post the mileage from your station to the repeaters and from the repeaters to your two contacts, it will give them an idea of "range" (along with repeater heights of course).

I wish we had a "thumbs up" emoticon!!

Just found out from Idial1911 that Tyler is headed back to school for his masters in EE. Wish him luck. He has a great knack for these videos. I will be signing up for his youtube site and keeping track of his progress. Very impressed!

P.S. I just subscibed to Tyler's youtube site and there are many more informative videos there.

Just FYI, that radio the yaesu that he is using is a great little 2m rig..
