Post by: spacecase0 on April 05, 2015, 10:30:03 PM
I just got an empty hard drive and installed it in my tiny laptop
looked all over for a good ham radio based operating system
found this one
http://sourceforge.net/projects/kb1oiq-andysham/
any one have a better idea ?
if not, I should have a review in a few days

Never heard of it.  Space write it up and I will post it on the blog page too.

the installer failed on me when loading the boot loader,
went to fix the boot loader and...
I think my disk writer might be broken
might take me a while longer to get it installed with no working CD drive

just can't get it to install on the hard disk, I read all the help files and followed instructions,
runs fine from the DVD disk,
way to slow running from a USB drive...

my laptop does not have an internal DVD drive, so I can't really run it that way,
so I put mint linux on the computer and it works fine, likely not a hardware issue on my end
I guess I just give up,
maybe I will try again on the next version
