From the Old Pueblo.

Thanks to AD and all the rest for setting this site up. Sorry I don't know exactly who else is involved, but I really appreciate you guys and your reasons for doing this. I am excited to be a noob on a noob forum, especially one that was started for the sake of noobs everywhere.

Your most welcome sir.  Idial1911 is the work horse behind the technical aspects of the site.

Everyone with a Global Moderator tag, is part of a group of hams that found each other off of other forums with a common purpose of setting up a network of friends across the country, who communicate on a weekly basis. They have all jumped in to help mentor all of you.

I am just the one with the crazy a-- idea to start this thing  :o

The majority of us originated from SB, but as time went one, we started pulling in operators from other sites we knew to be like minded and have had personal relationships with at least one of us. We have become a close  knit group over the past year. Close enough to rag on each other. The credit for this site though, primarily goes to AD and Idial1911. The global moderators in this forum come exclusively from our HF group

Bill in New Mexico here...been a ham for over 20 years.  Got my General ticket back in 1993, back when you still had to do 13 words per minute CW, but let it slip by for about the past 10 years (been too busy with motorcycles, shooting, reloading, life, etc).  My radios have all been in storage for the past 5 years.  I'm hoping that they'll still work, as my barn/storage area leaked water. Now I just have to get the antenna up and tune 'em up and test 'em out.
General class license since 1992, been inactive for about 10 years, just getting back into it, thanks to Going Home.   Edit...AE on 4/29/2012

welcome sir.  Pop up a 20 and 40 meter dipole and let me know when your ready and i will help you test from the PHX area. Or a "random length wire" if you have a tuner.....

Thanx AD.  Yup, have a good tuner, but also have a Hy-Gain 18TD reel-tape multi-freq dipole that I've had tucked away for a long time that I've been looking to try out.  Just need to wait for a bit better weather, as it's blowing like crazy here this weekend, and the tape style dipole is known to break in windy conditions.  Soon though....
And thanx for the welcomes.
