SO-50 First try

So tonight I made my first attempt at hearing a satellite(SO-50) and I was able to using my Wouxun KG-UV3D and the standard antenna on it.  I followed many websites and they all suggested to open your squelch which I could hear faint voices but when I put it at 1 I could move my radio till squelch broke and hear them clearly.  It only lasted about 3 mins and the Sat went behind a house in my back yard but I now have the bug.  Time to buy an arrow antenna I can't wait to hit the space station now!
