Did you get the RT Systems software too?  If so the memory system is moat easily  handled via the RT Software.

No, the price for the Kenwood software was more to my liking, and it isn't at all difficult in spite of no user's manual that I could find.  It doesn't show as a spread sheet, but still fairly friendly.

The thread title is no longer accurate, passed the general a day ago.  Now am flame testing the plastic on transceiver, power supply and antenna tuner.  Antenna is another kettle of worms needing more research before committing to taking a bigger bite than maybe I can chew.

Congrats on both Tech and General.  Do you have an HF rig yet?
As for an antenna, you can spend a bunch of green, or you can spend a little green and make your own, depending on which way you want to go.
I need to get my kid over here to the house to pull my broken antenna down so that I can repair/replace it.
Good luck,
Bill (kickstand)

Thanx, Bill.  There is a thread I started for newb gear and starter antenna here
http://www.preparedham.com/forums/general-discussion/newb-gear-selection/
and here

Yes, the xceiver, ps, and tuner are here, but no antenna yet.  Might be pulling the trigger on that in a day or two.
