I just got an id-51 today... Best HT i've ever used.. Menu system is so easy.. I just had a QSO with a guy in Australia from my deck with 5 watts.. That was cool!

I got me an ID-51a+ three weeks ago. Also have a DVAP. I really like D-Star.
