Here's my shack.  It's not fancy, but it works.  I had to give up the cardboard box - per the XYL.....

Thanks!  That's the charge controller for the solar power sytem.  The batteries are under the bench.  All the radios are solar powered.

Yeah, I'm working on it.  I have photos of most of the devices.  Just need to get the details together and post it.  I'll work on it - there are several folks that would like to see it.

That is so neat. Completely independent commo. Thats exactly what I want up at the farm. Later this year when Chris and I get the trailers up there, I will start to set up the solar power feed and I might just drive by a little town in Central Texas and kidnap Mr. GDP to supervise!

These are my boat anchors.  I use the Drakes, primarily and have the Collins for backup.  It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the new stuff has, but if it breaks, I can fix it.  I had a cardboard box, too, but it wasn't as nice as Idial's so I left it out of the picture...  The picture at the very bottom is of the shack we had where I went to school back in 1965.  You can see the Hammarlund receiver and the Johnson Viking transmitter with Match Box.  I just found this picture recently.
