AA9PW
The AA9PW site is a great location for anyone wanting to get their license or upgrade. The testing process is most like what you will see at the time of the actual test. This site will not report your progress. I suggest using this site and the QRZ site (listed below) to gauge your progress.

QRZ
QRZ is another excellent site for anyone wishing to get a license or upgrade. The practice testing is more automated and incorrect answers  will not forward you to the next question. Correct answers move you on. While this is a "Flash Card" style site an issue that I do not care for is the automated progression to the next question. Sometimes you need to look at the correct answer to just to let it soak in. (I think) You will need to register in order to test. If you do not have a Callsign you can change you username once you get one. This site will show you your progression and will let you concentrate on the areas that you are having trouble with.

MicroHams
I have not spent enough time looking at this site but the second link takes you to some well made powerpoint presentations that you can download and review. I like for those that I help to use these PPTs (second link) because they can take their time in reviewing their answer before moving forward to find out if they gave the correct answer.

HamWhisperer
KE4GKP put together a set of YouTube videos that will help those that need instructor lead training. This link is for the first in the series of 20+ videos that will help the Non-ham get their ticket. It may be a good idea to subscribe to the YouTube Channel for ease of staying in sync and showing your appreciation for his effort. The second link is for the answers to the questions. This site indicates instructional info for the Tech wishing to upgrade to General but it is from the old General test that expired in July of 2011.

I'll saw I used aa9pw.com to study and i'd recommend against after i found qrz.com.

aa9pw.com asks you all the questions you answer it and then submit all the questions at the end. so sometimes you leave the question with the wrong answer and you have to go through it at the end. With qrz.com it won't let you proceed to the next answer until you put the right one in. So the correct answers start to get engrained in your head.

I used QRZ.com.  It worked fine for me.  It depends on your beginning level of knowledge as to what type of study material you should use.  A written book is the best way for me personally to learn new topics.  Once the basic information is well in your mind, the practice exams are good to sharpen your skill.

Yea see I am the opposite.. I can read the books all day and get little from it. I use them as reference to go back.. Put me in front of it something and say go.. and i'll make it work.. Honestly, I memorized most of the test to pass it. Once i got on the air and starting using the stuff I started learning FAST.. I am a visual guy, and I prefer rolling my sleeves up and doing it, do reading about it. There is no right or wrong, just know what how you learn best and do that. Everyone is different in that department. I still think QRZ is better all around because it keeps you focused on one question at a time.

I agree on both counts. Now, that I getting set to test in the next few days, I like a test that I have finish to find out how I did. I guess I feel this is how the test will be, but in the beginning it was nice to use sites that would say incorrect and show you the right answer or ones that would not let you proceed.
