Since a big part of the hobby is buying gear, and many times that means ordering online, and like it or not using ebay.  So I thought I'd post some feedback from my experiences; maybe help someone else.

Ebay sellers I would use again:  ;D

the_rf_adapter_guy (U.S. 100%): cable connectors
http://myworld.ebay.com/the_rf_adapter_guy/&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754

N9TAX (U.S. 100%): dualband slim jim antenna (ladderline rollup J-pole)
http://myworld.ebay.com/n9tax/&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754

mit618 (U.S. 100%): Retech RHA-771 antenna
http://myworld.ebay.com/mit618/&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754

kacomm07 (U.S. 99.8%): connectors
http://myworld.ebay.com/kacomm07/&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754

w8amzxyl (U.S. 99.3%): wire dipole antenna kit
http://myworld.ebay.com/w8amzxyl/&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754

lss1412 (U.S. 100%): dogbone insulators for antenna wire
http://myworld.ebay.com/lss1412/&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754

------------------------------------
Ebay sellers neutral  (no bad experience)  :-\

nicheone (China 99.6%): UV-5R
link-delight-eu (China 98.8%): UV-5R
happyhamshop (China 99.4%): battery eliminator
HK360radio (Hong Kong 99.5%): promptly cancelled at request

------------------------------------
Ebay sellers - negative  >:(
etekcity (US):  poor quality, 10 day shipping
solidradio (Hong Kong): poor at resolving problems
esunshine (China): AAA battery pack doesn't fit
delight-digi(China): selling same AAA battery pack

I'm waiting for more products to arrive from China/HK; wiil update then.

Notice a pattern?  US sellers w/ 100% tend to be good sources.  From my experience Hong Kong is worse than China.  (My card also blocks HK.)

Even though it's not related to ebay, I'll also mention I've had good dealings with HRO (hamradio.com).

I don't use Amazon for much other than books.  I'll consider it next time; have to figure out if Amazon is one of the good guys or just another giant corporation.  But I think buying from U.S. sellers on ebay is helping small business.  I guess maybe they could sell through Amazon too.  Anyway, yes, better to order from Amazon than directly from Hong Kong.  Or, are the Hong Kong sellers on Amazon too?

EDIT: Yes, some of the same sellers are there.
